Internal fight from Panama City to David. David is about 35 minute drive from the local airport for internal flights to and from Panama City which takes about 55 minutes flying time. In the coming weeks the international runway and terminal will be finished allowing flights from the USA (and elsewhere not sure where yet). Car hire at David If you fly from Panama City to David it is possible to hire a car at David Airport.
Driving from Panama City – It is perfectly safe to drive from Panama City to Boquete and takes about 5 to 6 hours with a stop in Santiago which is approximately half way. We suggest you do not drive in the dark due to the lack of street lighting and that the road changes a couple of times from four lanes to two lanes. Panama has only one road from Panama City to Boquete (turning right in David at the large Rey sign or TGI Friday). Car hire is possible at the Tocumen International Airport at Panama City.
Buses from Panama City to David – are large modern and air-conditioned- approximately $16.00 to $20.00 – one way, taking about 6 hours, stopping approximately half way in Santiago. You will need to get a taxi from where your staying or the ariport to Albrook Bus Terminal.
Buses from David to Boquete (via David Bus Terminal) – approximately $2.00 I am told buses leave every 30 to 45 minutes

Boquete Car Hire is also possible when you get here to Boquete. This will give you the opportunity to explore the amazing beauty of the surrounding areas – approximately $30.00 to $50.00 per day.

Local Taxi around the town is about $1.00 to $2.00. It is possible to hire the taxi for half a day or even a day to take you around site seeing the stunning areas- arrange a price with the taxi driver.
Boquete Scooter Hire is also possible to give you mobility and enable you the freedom to see the local sights. They would not be suitable for the longer trips.
Bus from Bocas to Boquete To get off Isla Colón take a water taxi to Almirante. At Amirante get taxi to take you to the bus stop in Almirante – there might be a wait of 30 minutes to 1 hour for the bus to David. Once at the bus terminal in David you can opt for a bus to Boquete or a taxi to Boquete.
