It is common to see people with neck ache, mid back ache and/or lower backache. A problem in the spine or the muscles surrounding the spine could contribute to a condition or could be the cause of the condition.

Cervical Vertebrae

C1 –blood supply to the head and brain, pituitary gland, ears, and the sympathetic nervous system.

C2 – eyes, optic nerve, sinuses, mastoid bones, and tongue.

C3 – cheeks, face bone, teeth and nerves to the face.

C4 – nose, lips, mouth, and eustachian tube.

C5 – vocal cord, neck glands, parathyroid, and pharynx.

C6 – neck muscles, shoulders and tonsils.

C7 – thyroid gland elbows

Thoracic Vertebrae

T1 – Arms from the elbows down, hands, wrists, and fingers, the esophagus and trachea.

T2 – heart and coronary arteries.

T3 – lungs, bronchial tubes, chest and breast.

T4 – Gall bladder

T5 – liver, solar plexus and the circulation in general.

T6 – stomach

T7 – pancreas and duodenum.

T8 – spleen

T9 – Adrenal glands

T10 – kidneys

T11 – kidneys and urethras

T12 – small intestine and the lymph circulation

Lumber Vertebrae

L1 – large intestine

L2 – appendix, lower leg.

L3 – sex organs, bladder, and knees.

L4 – prostate gland, muscles of the lower back, and sciatic nerve.

L5 – lower leg ankle and feet.

Sacrum – hip bones and buttocks.

Coccyx – rectum and anus.
